To serve our community by sharing choral music through quality performances while welcoming non-auditioned, volunteer adult singers and instrumentalists of varied ages and diverse backgrounds.
Vision Statement of Spiritful Voices Community Choir
Spiritful Voices Community Choir is known for performing a wide variety of music genres. We are known for our innovative and eclectic programming which is intended to engage the old and young, the sophisticated and first-time listener, as well as those interested in understanding diverse cultures and periods. The positive experience extends to every contact that our patrons and performers have with Spiritful Voices Community Choir, including volunteer opportunities, rehearsals, donor relations, performances, and events.
We are a diverse group of men and women who care passionately about the quality of our vocal sound and the professionalism of our performance and production values.
Spiritful Voices Community Choir strives to:
- Seek new venues, performance opportunities, and outreach programs to penetrate new markets and provide better service to our community
- Explore new and innovative programming opportunities involving other groups such as other choirs, dance troupes, actors, or instrumental ensembles, as well as combine concerts with other visual arts such as film, artwork, or photography
- Improve the musical quality and vocal skills of each of our choristers through clinics, retreats, workshops, and other avenues
- Expand our musical repertoire to include additional periods, styles, genres, and cultures
- Develop appropriate tour and exchange opportunities in other states and other countries
- Implement technological innovation in all operations of the organization, employing the use of the Internet, e-mail communication, and other technologies to maximum effect in outreach and the marketing of our performances, communication with our donors, and in the recruitment and retention of participants and volunteers.
