Financial Matters
Participant Fee
To help with the costs and expenses associated with our organization, each participant contributes $75.00 per season (or $135.00 per married couple) which is used to purchase music and practice CDs, and pay rehearsal hall expenses, promotional expenses, postage, etc. We offer an "early bird" discount of 20% for those who register at least two weeks prior to the beginning of each season, which makes the participant fee $60.00 for individuals or $108.00 for married couples. If these dues present an extreme financial burden, then we may be able to help, so don't let that one thing keep you from joining our chorus (we've never refused anyone membership in our choir for lack of dues).
Other Financial Matters for Participants
In addition to the fee required each season, participants in Spiritful Voices Community Choir must also wear specific stage attire during spring and fall performances (the cost of which is the responsibility of each participant).
Singers who wish to check out a music folder to take it home with them during the season are also required to sign a "Music Check-Out and Guaranty" form and attach a personal check or credit card information to be used as a deposit in case they fail to return their music folder at the end of the season (participants who return their music by the end of the season are not charged).
Also, as a volunteer, non-profit organization, we require each of our participants to actively pursue at least $200.00 in corporate or individual sponsorships each season from those in the community to provide needed additional financial support for our performing arts charity.
