Performance Opportunities
Spiritful Voices Community Choir is a sought after performing arts group for all types of venues. Our adult chorus travels from venue to venue during our touring seasons, providing on-site musical programming that is family-oriented, high energy and fun for everyone. Known for presenting a wide variety of musical styles and entertaining productions, Spiritful Voices Community Choir has provided more than 200 concerts since its founding in 1999. In addition to performance bookings of our complete 50-voice choir, carolers, quartets, and other smaller ensembles are also available for select performance venues.
Tour Availability
Generally, Spiritful Voices Community Choir is only available for performances during two, six‑week tour seasons each year: Spring (from mid-April through
Memorial Day), and Fall (from November through mid-December). The chorus is on summer hiatus June through August, and is in rehearsals during other times of the year. During a typical six-week touring season, Spiritful Voices Community Choir will book performances at
six-to-ten different venue locations (i.e., 12-20 performances each year). To oblige the daytime schedules of our adult singers and instrumentalists, performance bookings are usually reserved for weekends or weekday evenings only, although special weekday afternoon requirements can occasionally be met with ample advanced notice.
Where We Perform
Our performance tours are typically limited to a 25-mile radius around the metropolitan Oklahoma City area. Since we began in 1999, we’ve performed at such venues as Opening Night, the Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts, the Paseo Arts Festival, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Penn Square Mall, the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory at the Myriad Gardens, the Braum's Ice Skating Rink, the Oklahoma City Holiday Parade, the Oklahoma Wine Festival, and at dozens of retirement centers and skill care facilities throughout the metropolitan Oklahoma City area. Several of our performances have been featured in The Oklahoman, The City Sentinel, The Bethany Tribune, The Edmond Sun, Northwest Metro Times, The Journal Record, Guthrie News Leader, The Kingfisher Times and Free Press, and on OETA-TV, KAUT OK43, KWTV News 9, FOX News 25, KOCO-TV’s Eyewitness News 5, and KFOR-TV’s NewsChannel 4.

A typical performance during our touring season is one hour in length. In special circumstances, our concerts can be tailored to 30-minute or 45-minute time constraints.
Venue Requirements
Performance sponsors must provide a clear, safe, secure, and well-lit environment that will be used as the "stage" area, adequate enough and large enough to accommodate our singers, instrumentalists, and stage equipment (minimum 25’ wide by 15’ deep), and conducive to a live choral concert (i.e., free of excessive noise, no background music, etc.). The entire performance area must be free of all debris, tables, furniture, lamps, plants, hanging chandeliers, and other items and obstructions at least one hour prior to the concert starting time. The venue must also provide a suitable area to accommodate an appropriate number of audience members. In most cases, the concert sponsor must also make a vigorous effort to promote the performance of Spiritful Voices Community Choir to potential audience members including, but not limited to, placing posters and other advertisements in and around the venue location several weeks prior to the date of the concert; announcing the performance to the community through word-of-mouth and by other means; and providing concert publicity through in-house newsletters, information sheets, and community newspapers. A venue location must also provide convenient parking lot access to the performance area for unloading and loading the choir’s equipment truck, and a minimum of 30 parking spaces that are near the performance location to accommodate the personal vehicles of choir members, as well as adequate parking for the anticipated number of audience members.
Equipment
Spiritful Voices Community Choir tours with all of its own professional sound equipment, musical instruments (including a digital stage piano), and other stage apparatus necessary to present our full concert at each and every venue. Sponsoring organizations are not expected to provide a piano or any sound equipment whatsoever.
Performance Fees
Based on availability and acceptance, as part of its charter and mission, Spiritful Voices Community Choir provides concerts to admission-free events during its tour seasons at no cost to the sponsoring organization. However, as a fully recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Spiritful Voices Community Choir, Inc., gladly accepts voluntary donations from its venue sponsors to help defray some of the costs involved. A typical tax-deductible contribution for a Spiritful Voices concert is $250 to $750. Acceptance of a concert engagement is not based on the sponsor’s ability to provide a donation to our organization. A limited number of bookings are also available each season for venues that charge admission, as well as at for-profit events. That information must be disclosed on a sponsor’s Request for Performance, and a set performance fee will be quoted to the sponsor prior to the booking.
Request for Performance
The first step in hosting a Spiritful Voices Community Choir performance is to complete and submit a "Request for Performance" form. Tour dates are limited and fill fast! Concert venues are typically booked six months to one year in advance. In no case will requests be considered for fall performances after mid-September, or for spring performances after mid-February.
