Did you happen to see the premier of NBC’s hit new TV show, “The Sing Off”? Now you have a chance to shine vocally because, in addition to our full, regular non-auditioned chorus, we’re starting a new a cappella ensemble that will entertain our audiences. Anyone who wants to work harder and go “above and beyond” our choir’s normal repertoire may audition for this smaller, optional vocal group. This ensemble will have special rehearsals to improve each singer’s vocalization techniques, and will showcase select, challenging pieces during our choir’s performances. Our website is currently undergoing major changes! After an eight-year Internet presence, Spiritful Voices has forged a new association with Grassroots.org, a non-profit group that currently provides Internet based hosting services to nearly 1,600 charitable organizations. Ms. Christeina Gray of Gray Enterprises in Oklahoma City has also provided us with a much-needed re-design of our entire website! Inclement Weather Policy

Wintertime in Oklahoma can bring the most unpredictable weather of any season, and because our organization would never endanger the safety of our participants or patrons by conducting rehearsals or performances while hazardous winter driving conditions exist, it is our choir’s standing policy that we will cancel any scheduled event if dangerous winter weather conditions warrant. In such cases, we will always place a cancellation message on the scrolling marquee at the bottom of this website at least 90 minutes prior to a scheduled rehearsal or performance (be sure and "refresh" your browser screen!). However, even if conditions within the city are safe enough to keep our rehearsal location open, because some of our participants live in surrounding suburbs and rural towns, we encourage each participant to exercise his or her own best judgment prior to attending a scheduled rehearsal during inclement weather.

Membership is open to adults who love to sing and can commit to the group's weekly rehearsal and performance schedule. Choir Performs at Carnegie Hall

Spiritful Voices capped its 10th anniversary season by singing in a concert June 6, 2009, at New York City's famed Carnegie Hall. About 40 chorus members and supporters made the trip from Oklahoma to participate in the evening performance, which featured two festival choirs of 300 voices each, formed from adult community and church choirs from throughout the world. During the past decade, Spiritful Voices has sung several works by composers Joseph Martin and Greg Gilpin, who conducted the concert.
